Read the Changelog
This guide shows how you read what shipped in a NUU app, and how you see credit for your own offers and reports.
Each NUU app has its own changelog. The changelog is a list of published updates for that app. You open it from the account menu in that app.
Prerequisites
- You are in a NUU app that is connected to NUU Experience.
- You do not need to be signed in to read the changelog in an app that shows it.
- To match credit to your own submissions, it helps to be signed in, and to have sent an offer or a report. See Follow Your Submission.
Open the changelog
Open your account menu in the app. Choose the changelog.
If the app is not connected, that action is not there. Nothing else on the page changes.
The menu can show a count of updates you have not opened yet. Opening the list marks the loaded updates as seen. The count then drops.
Read the list
The list shows published updates, newest first. Each row has a title. It can show a version. It shows the ship date.
Drafts do not appear here. Staff still see drafts in NUU Experience.
Move through the list if there are many updates. Open one title to read that update in full.
Read one update
The update page shows the title and the date. Then it shows the intro, if there is one. Then it shows sections.
Each section can have a heading and a body. Then it lists changes. Each change has a kind. The kinds are added, changed, fixed, and removed. Then it has a short line of text.
Look at the end of a change line for contributors. A contributor is a person credited for that change. The usual credit is the people who sent the linked offers and reports.
- A person with the role offered sent a linked suggestion.
- A person with the role reported sent a linked bug.
You see a name and a picture. You do not see an email.
If you sent a linked offer or report, you should see yourself there after staff publish. The same link is what moved your offer to accepted, or your report to fixed, when the update published. See About Changelog Updates.
Match it to your submission
If you want the other side of the story, open NUU Experience. Open your offer or report. An accepted offer can name the update. A fixed report can name the update and the change text.
The app changelog is the public story. Your row in NUU Experience is your private record of the same link.
