About Changelog Updates
A changelog in NUU is not a raw feed of commits. It is a list of updates for one app. Each update reads like a short article. You open the list, then you open one update to read it in full.
Staff write updates in NUU Experience. Each connected NUU app shows only the published updates for itself.
The shape of an update
An update has a title. It can have a version. It has a date. That date is the day the update shipped. It can have an intro in text. Then it has sections.
A section can have a heading. It can have a body. It has changes.
A change has one kind and one short line of text. The kinds are:
- Added. Something new is in the product.
- Changed. Something that existed now works in a new way.
- Fixed. Something that was wrong is now right.
- Removed. Something is gone.
A change can link offers and reports of the same app. Those links are how credit is born.
Draft and published
An update is a draft or it is published.
A draft stays in NUU Experience. Apps do not show it. Staff can still edit it, link rows, and save.
A published update appears in that app changelog. Newest published date first. Staff can unpublish it. Unpublish makes it a draft again. The app then stops showing it. Linked submissions keep the states they already have. Unpublish does not move those states back.
The date on the update is the ship date. Staff set it. It cannot be in the future.
Links and credit
A change may link:
- offers of this app that are queued or accepted
- reports of this app that are open, confirmed, or fixed
One submission can link to at most one change, across every update of the app. A second link is refused.
When staff publish:
- each linked queued offer becomes accepted, and the offer records this update
- each linked open or confirmed report becomes fixed, and the report records this update
The public changelog then names the submitters as contributors. An offer submitter has the role offered. A report submitter has the role reported. The list shows a name and a picture. It does not show an email. Staff can also name other people as contributors.

Where you read it
Every NUU app reaches its changelog from the account menu. That is the one entry. The list shows one row per published update. Open a row to read the full update, including sections, changes, and contributors.
You do not need to be signed in to read a changelog in an app that shows it. You do need to be signed in to send an offer or a report.
NUU Experience also has its own changelog for itself. That list is the same kind of page. The staff editor of every app changelog is a different place. Members do not write there.
